I cannot decide which to buy...Canon Powershot SX10 IS OR Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28.
Has anyone used both to determine which is better and why??? Please help!!!!! |

I have owned the FZ28 for just over a week and am thoroughly impressed. It focuses fairly fast, has a nice burst mode, and very good image quality. It's pretty good at ISO's up through 400 and decent at ISO 800.
I picked up a SX10 at shot some pictures inside the store. The focusing speed is ok, but the images seemed noisier to me at the same ISO levels than the FZ28. However, it does have a hot shoe, so you could use an external flash. It also has a bit more zoom (up to 560mm vs 486mm for the FZ28). I have read some people's complaints about purple fringing in high contast shots, which the FZ28 does a pretty good job avoiding. I think they're both good cameras. I am glad I got the FZ28, but could have been happy with the SX10, (especially if prices for it 2 weeks ago had been as low as they are (online) now. |

I agree! Inj this particular case, the Panasonic FZ-28 is the much better all around camera.
