Dear 30D Camera Owners,

I'm looking at the Canon 30D, but when I went to the Canon Website for the 30D I clicked on the drop down menu for "Choose the Right Product" and then clicked on "Windows XP Compatibility" and saw a long list of problems.

!. Application software compatibility problems and 2. Image Display and CF Card Formatting Error Notices, and 3. USD WIA Driver information about needing to install and uninstall USB WIA drivers, and 4. Trouble downloading images from camera to computer.

This all seems overwhelming. I have a Canon PowerShot SD550 and I never faced any of these issues. Is this just for the 30D and if so I think I'd have to hire my computer technician to sort it all out. What is your experience and advice?

Thanks much,

Vancote

Those are software issues and they usually come out with patches for them. Ive never had a problem with my Canon software, but I didn't use it very long because the aftermarket software was so much better.

I don't have any problems but then I don't any software which came with my 30d. I use C1LE for RAW processing and PS for processing.
