I'm sure there's already been comparisons but I was just curious of the major differences of the 2?...The 2.5" LCD as well as being 10 megapixel are the only BIG factors I have noticed. Is there anything else I'm missing? Also what is the difference between the Sony Alpha's anti-dust system & the XTi's? Thx in advance...

Main difference is the AF unit in 400D. It's got 9 point AF system from 30D.

AF of 350D is not really accurate and has big problems while foccusing with lenses, faster than F2,8 (because of their shallow DOF).

Xt had 7 point AF. I wasn't bad in a sense but just that 9 point system in 30D is better. Now new 400D gets the same system. This new system has central cross-sensor which is more accurate with lenses of f2.8 or wider.
also buffer has been improved alot in new 400d. It used to be 4 RAW files not it is alomst same as 30D with 10 files and 27 jpegs. |
