Ok.. I see the biggest ones.. zoom and Megapix... What other differences are there?

Well, this is a tricky one. For instance the G6 packs a bigger sensor but more pixels and the S2 packs a smaller sensor but fewer pixels so my guess is that you would have to see side by side photo prints to really be able to tell the difference. The G6 appears to be more expensive and I'm not sure that the difference in price is really worth it.
Then there is the issue of AA versus Lithium. If you prefer AAs then you should go with the S2.
When it comes to the bottom line, my money would be on the S2, not only beacuse of its price but also because of its many capabilities which, for the better part, stand up and even exceed those of the G6. If you used a 12x optical zoom lens once you can never really go back to just 4x.
Check out the dpreview side-by-side comparison and photographic tests.

Keep in mind that the Canon G-6 has the Digic I chip to speed focusing, while I believe that the Canon S-2 has the newer, more advanced Digic II chip, which is the better chip.

Right... and from what I hear and read, the Digic II is quite a piece of work, I mean it manages to produce quality photos in conditions that other manufacturers' chips can't.
That's definetely a plus for the S2.
