I'm going to buy the pentax S6, it's the best one I think and cheaper than the SD450, but if you really want a canon, buy the SD450
![]() Pentax S6: 2.5 inch screen ( 230000 pixels ) Canon SD450: 2.5 inch screen ( 120000 pixels ) Pentax S6: 6 megapixels Canon SD450: 5 megapixels Here you can see all the features: http://www.letsgodigital.org/nl/came...-1035-882.html I like the look of the pentax the most ![]() ![]() (pentax: 255 euros in Belgium, canon: 300 euros) |

If you won't use the manual features the SD450 is more likely to be with you when you want to take a picture.
Digital cameras are great learning tools since the photos are free and you can download and evaluate what you have done fairly soon after shooting. The EXIF will tell you what parameters you used for each shot. I would go for the A610 if you think you might be interested in using the controls. The S6 is smaller and has more pixels, but it doesn't have an optical viewfinder. It is hard to acquire a target in a dynamic situation without an optical finder – especially at full zoom. You get less vignetting and corner softness with the SD450, but I don't find that a big deal. My S4 had the same lens and I never found there was anything in the corners that detracted from the photo. It might be a factor if you want to copy documents though. The SD450 also has a little stronger flash. |
