These 2 cameras are both $199.99 at Best Buy. What would be the pros/cons of each? I don't do video. Just want good photos for prints or email with easy, fast picure taking. Sturdy is important as I tend to drop things. Other suggestions in the under 200 range?

Barbara-
Between the SD1400 and the 100HS, I would choose the 100HS, due to it newer imager and processor. However, as your requirements are really not very complex, why not save some money. B&H has the Nikon S6000 on sale for $99.95. The s6000 has 12mp, 7X (28mm to 199mm) optical zoom, as well as 720p video. Those features make it a v ery good value. I have posted a thread on the S6000 in the Nikon P+S folder complete with photos. You might want to take a look at it. Sarah Joyce |
