Hi,
Shall appreciate a quick response. I cannot decide which one to pick - Canon SD450 or Sony DSW-w50? I am most concerned abouttheimage quality I willbe using it mainly for family events, taking pictures of people. Image quality of these pictures is my top priority. Secondly I am planning to re-decorate my apartment. So I hope to bring it along everywhere eg home shows, decor centres, fabric stores etc to take pictures and to explain to people what I like. I would also like to take pictures of objects on window-display as well. Finally, mayI have some adviceon these two printers. Canon Pixma iP6210D or HP Deskjet 5940?I understand that these are "entrylevel" ones - But just want to make awiser choice.:-) Thanks, Spring |

In reverse order. IMHO the Canon is the better printer and the cheaper to operate, long term, than the HP. The W-50 with its higher ISO setting will most likely give you more photo flexibility than the Canon which is limited to a max ISO setting of ISO 400. Do keep in mind however, that the Sony will tend to loose some photo quality as you move to the 800 and 1000 ISO settings. MT |

Hi MT,
I bought the Sony W50 and immmediately brought it to the National Home Show today to try it out. I had a lot of fun using it. I saw a lot of interesting stuff and took a lot of pix. The pix turned out to be better than I expected - even though I didn't play with the settings. I also chose the Canon printer as well. Thanks a lot. ![]() Spring. |

I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Sony W-50. When you have the opportunity, could you please tell us how the high ISO setting photos worked out for you. Even a few samples would be appreciated. MT |
