Neither will do a great 16 X 20. You are looking at 144 and 153 PPI respectively. In that range every little bit of pixel density helps. Viewing distance usually increases with picture size and both will look decent on the wall with most subjects.

im confused. first u say neither will do a great 16x20 then say both will look decent. my subject will be family members, so will either give me a good but not great 20x30? imo good would be clear looking from across the room. great would be crystal clear looking across. if that doesn't make sense then i will use a video comparison. dvd = good. hdtv = great.
