Hi, I am looking to buy either Canon SD 550 (Ixus 750) or Sony P200, but I am a bit confused about which one to get. Both cameras take great pictures (outdoors and indoors).

Canon Ixus 750 is more expensive. Aside from a larger screen, what do you get for the extra money? And is it worth it?

Both are excellent cameras. However, it has been reported that the Sony P-200, while a very competent camera suffers from dust intrusion problems. The dust lands on the CCD, and eventually the camera will begin a progressive cycle of lesser and leser quality photos.

The Canon 550 has gotten top reviews. However, there have been a small number of cracked LCD screens, requireing a costly repair bill.

Both are top cameras but please keep in mind the problems that have been reported.
