I am fed up with my old digital camera (shutter lag too long) and I am looking for replacement...did a little research and so far I am deciding between canon powershot s2 and fuji finepix s5200... I mainly take pictures of my seven month old daughter, so I am looking for zoom and fast reaction...any suggestions? Thank you

lucid-
Of the two cameras noted in your opening post, the Fuji S-5200 and the Canon S-2 boot-up equally fast, but the S5200 has a tiny bit less shutter lag than the S-2. However, there is another factor to take into your camera considerations. That is do you need IS (Image Stabilization)? If you need IS the Canon S-2 has it, the Fuji S-5200 does not have it. MT |

hey,
thanks for answering.. so which one? or do you recommend totally different one? I have never worked with zoom so big, so I have no idea if I need the stabilizer. My old canon have this annoying red light before releasing the shutter and my little girl can already tell what's coming up and closes her eyes or turns her head! |

I have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old. I've had the S2 for a few months now and am extremly happy with it.
