Hello guys,
I am planning to head of to Asia for a month long holiday. Hence a compact digital camera would seems like the perfect choice as they fit my wife's handbag! =o) Between the Casio EX-S600 and the Panasonic FX9, which one should i go for? Thank you and regards, Jonathan |

Do you mean the S500 not 600? I've been looking at the S500 and Z500. Also the Samsung i5. Just not sure which one to go for myself!

the S600 is a recent release to the asia market i reckon?..
with improved LCD Lighting and Batt. And of course all the other nitty gritty stuffs like digital zoom while recording movie... hmm... decisions are killing me! |

I would take the new Sony T9 over both of them. The T9 is stabilized and has better than average high ISO capability. They fixed the biggest problem with the T series which was pitiful flash range. The T9 flash isn't great, but it is about average for small cameras.
My second choice of that group would be the FX9. It is a very good camera. The T9 and FX9 have much higher resolution LCDs than does the Casio. I haven't seen a review on the S600, but the rest of the S series has carried Casio transparent ceramic lenses, which aren't great. Both the T9 and FX9 have excellent lenses for small cameras. |

Thanx so much Slipe. I was valuing those Leica and Carl Zeiss lenses myself.
