I can't decide between the smaller S500 or the more powerful Z750. I'm not super picky about image quality, but I don't want crappy pictures. I'm a novice with regards to manual controls, is it realistic that I would bother to learn them since I have so many scene modes already?

Z750 is small, but is it too big to carry around in my pocket? I figure I'll need a case for it, so will that definitely put me over the edge in that area?

Any advise would be great!
