I would like suggestions for the faster cameras under 200g. I am fed up with portraits of the cats tail. If not 200gms where should I look?

In every review that Steve does, you will find in the Conclusion Page of the review, the exact times for boot-up and shutter lag of the camera being reviewed. Simply go to any of Steve's reviews on a camera that interests you and you can easily find the info that you desire. MT |

Cheers mtclimber,
Thats one to open my ideas. But what of the new Z850, would you not think that to be better than the others? My only concern about the Casios is "the feel", I'm thinking their slim feel would take some adjusting to. Sid |

I use the Casio Z-120 which is a bit thicker than the Z-750, and to me it feels correct in hand. The Z-850 has has some teething problems. Just take a look at the Casio forum over at www.dpreview.com MT |

Hi mtclimber,
I am also looking at the Canon SD500, what thoughts do you have on that? |

If video clips, are a priority, the Casio cameras with their MPEG-4 format, which uses far less SD card space would be the winners. The SD-500 is a good camera, but it has had a problem with some cracked LCD screens, you might want to check it out.
