Hi,
I have been thinking of buying a compact/ultracompact to carry around for a long time. I have a Nikon DSLR system which i cant carry every where. I am looking for a larger optical zoom and good indoor picture quality at least. At present there are three cameras which have attracted my attention. Nikon S10 (Advantage swivel lcd, 10x optical zoom, IS, Disadvantage no evf/manual controls and feels flimsy, Don't know about picture quality) Panasonic TZ1 (Advantage 10x optical zoom, Disadvantage no evf/manual controls, Don't know about picture quality) Canon A710IS (Advantage i believe it has some manual control but has less zoom 6X optical only) Megapixels don't count. End result is picture quality that counts, I believe none of these have raw. If you have more suggestions let me know would like to read reviews etc and then decide Thanks ag |

I dont have any knowledge of the other two, but the A710 is a great camera, is extemely fast, has IS, and takes great pics.
