does anybody offer a compact camera with image stabilization for video that's good? i noticed that casio and kodak just came out with one, but i'm not sure the quality. any thoughts?

I don't think either Casio or Kodak has a compact with true optical stabilization. Digital stabilization isn't as good and degrades the images – especially for your still photos.
The Sony T9 has optical stabilization and good movies. The Panasonic FX9 also has both good movies and optical stabilization also. The Sony is a little better at higher ISO, but they are both excellent little cameras. |

thanks! i'm looking for "steady shot" for video. i have the canon sd400 (after many months of research and this awesome site!), and i like it, but the pics aren't as great as i'd like them to be. they need some work prior to printing. the new casio looks good (i was reading cnet.com asia).
do you think they'll be announcing anything at the pma? |
