Can someone recommend a compact wide lens camera? So far, there's Canon S60 or S70 and that's it. I do not like the Fuji E510 and the Olympus line is too large and bulky. Are there any others? Thanks

I have the Powershot S70 and recommend it highly.

It has a nice low-noise sensor, and it's a good bit of glass. It's really discrete when out and about, and I get wonderful A3 prints.

Have a look at the Ricoh Caplio range. Most of them start at 28mm and some also go up to 135mm (4.8x Optical zoom). And they can all focus as close as 1cm, so great for macro. http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/lineup.htmlThe first one even has 8.24 megapixels.

I don't think you can buy the Ricoh Caplio line in the US. Maybe you could find one on Ebay, but the regular retailers don't seem to be able to get them.

The S70 is probably about as compact a wide camera as you will find in the US and it is very competent.

The Fuji E-510 also has a wide angle.
