Hi!, i was comparing samples in Steve´s reviews specifically i was comparing the indoor pictures of different ISO values of those soccer toys from the Sony H5 and Canon S3 and i was wondering if the ilumination for both cameras in these pictures are the same because the pictures taken by the Sony H5 seem to be remarkably more bright, is this the camera difference or is there a different illumination for those pictures? i knew Sony performs better in low light but comparing those samples the difference seems to be huge, Anyone knows? Thankx!
PS: i don´t know if this question regarding samples in Steve´s site belongs in this forum but i didn´t find a more suitable Forum |

Here's another head to head...
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonyh5/page13.asp If it's low light performance in a megzoom, you might want to take a look at the Fuji S6000. It's new, so there aren't too many professional reviews out yet, but you can compare it to the F30 (same sensor)... http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilmf30/page12.asp http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_...s/dscf0066.jpg the Hun |

Go to http://www.pbase.com/camerasand search by each camera. When you find a photo that tells you about the kinds of shots you want, click on it to get that person's gallery (usually all from the same camera).
This is a great site for evaluating different capabilities. I chose the Finepix S5200 based on great concert shots (I do mostly theatre shots--no flash) which I found there. Pegleg |

flash,
There are identical condition pics on Steve's samples, but unfortunately, the low light pics don't seem to be the same...they're not even the same subject matter...extra player, different positions, lighting angle, etc. I have compared the S2 IS to the H2, and consider the H2 to be better in low light pics, regarding noise. I don't think there is much difference between the S2/S3 and the H2/H5 models which would affect low light performance. Can't buy Fuji online...where do you live? the Hun |
