I can get the Panasonic FZ20, the Nikon Coolpix 8700 or the Sony V3 each for about $800 Canadian, or the Canon G6 for about $100 more. From all the reviews I've read, each camera has it's own strengths and weaknesses. I like the idea of a long telephoto lens, but I don't really want to sacrifice image quality in the way of noise, distrotion, etc. I know it's probably tough to say with any great level of certainty that one camera is better than the others, or offers the best bang for the buck, but I'd appreciate comments or experiences that you may have regarding these cameras.
