How is the shutter lag? I'm ready to buy the sx 130 if there is minimal shutter lag - so I can photograph the kiddies ![]() Thanks! Juggernaut |

juggernaut-
I am very pleased with the shot to shot times thus far with the SX-130. It is AA battery powered so as you get to the end of the charge, things will slow down a bit. I am using Eneloops and have no problems at all. Sarah Joyce Last edited by mtclimber; Sep 10, 2010 at 12:02 PM. |

How about the time lag from when you press the shutter release button to when the picture is taken? -When it is prefocused? vs. -When the autofocus had to engage before taking the shot? Thanks! Juggernaut |

I personally find the shutter lag is negligible and the shutter touch is excellent, on the SX-130. However, I suggest you stop by a dealer and check it out yourself. Sarah Joyce |

Well, after much debate, I went with the SX-130. I am pleased with image quality, but I am having some issues. First, I cannot get the macro option to appear on any of the auto mode settings. Second, any photo I try to take at close range using any of the auto modes is blurry. It may be the two issues are related. Any suggestions?

Take a look at the Scene Modes. That where you will find the Macro mode. Sarah Joyce |

Hi mtclimber,
I looked under the scene mode and did not find any macro settings; the settings I found are all the ones listed beginning on page 59 of the user manual (low light, beach, foliage, snow, and fireworks). According to the user manual (p 69) and what I am seeing on my camera, I should be able to select to select the macro focus setting after pressing the left arrow button (there is a macro flower icon next to this button). However, the only options I get are normal or manual. And, in regular auto mode (as opposed to portrait, etc.) I can't bring up the focus modes at all. What am I missing? |

Sunshinegirl-
My SX-130 is out on loan to our daughter. However, referring to my SX110, the macro mode (little tulip symbol) is at the 9 o'clock position on the 4 way controller. Sarah Joyce |
