Hi, I want to thank you all in advance for the excellent answers I know I will get...I came here a couple of years ago for advice about buying a DSLR for my husband, and he's been thrilled with it.
Now I'm asking for myself. I have a Canon Powershot SD600 elph that I have loved. I love that I can stick it in my pocket, and it takes really nice photos. However, I've been taking a lot of flower photos, something I have always wanted to do (even back in film days). The photos are fine, but not as crisp and close-up as I would like. I'm sure that the fact that the elph is only 6 mp is a contributing factor.
We do have the DSLR of my husband's, but I don't want to carry around something that large, and it's been a while since I've used anything but a point & shoot. I suppose that if I get REALLY into it, I could use that, but is there a good step-up that will do what I want without being too large and bulky? Do I just need to get a newer, better elph?
