syphon-
Purple Fringing is not a huge problem with most oftoday's cameras. Five to eight years ago it was a measurably larger problem. However, as digital camera progressed, getting more megapixels, and better lenses, the problem has decreased. Today, we only see it primarily in heavily backlighted scenes. The attached clipping from author, Vincent Bockaert's book "123 Digital Imaging" explains the phenomena and shows an example. MT/Sarah |
