Hi everyone. I publish an e-zine for upper extremity amputees (which I am). I'm currently researching an article about cameras that would lend themselves to one hand use. I'm asking the experts (that would be you) for recommendations. Thanks in advance.

If we're talking one handed use, the I would say that any camera that has a grip on the side, dials for changing modes and zooming controls on the shutter button area. The ultracompacts are sometimes just too small to always trust with just one hand. Some, like the Canon Elphs, need the wrist strap because there just isn't anything to hold on to. Some of your readers wouldn't even have to get a large camera with a grip...there are many manufactures that have implemented this design into their smaller cameras.
