Digital Camera w/ Remote?
My Olympus Camedia C-50 Zoom just died, and I'm looking to upgrade to a higher mega-pixel camera (I'm just your basic snaphooter so I don't need anything complicated). I loved the remote control feature of my C-50 that allowed me to take shots of my wife and me without having to run back-and-forth to the camera. CNET doesn't let me refine a search to just the remote control feature, and the only cameras that I'm finding with the remote are high-end Canon SLR for $1000, which is way more camera than I need. I also take pictures of my wife running her marathons and skiing, so something with fairly fast recovery and/or multiple shot capabilities would be great, but I'm really set on the remote control.
Any suggestions? Thanks! |

John Smithy-
Welcome to the Forum. We're please you dropped by. The Canon G-11 has a remote control, the Canon G-6, no longer manufactured, but often found on E-Bay had a remote control. Gary mentioned that the Olympus SP-570 and SP-590 could use accessory remote controls. In general the remote control feature is gradually being eliminated. Have a great day. Sarah Joyce |
Thanks!
Thanks for the advice! I will check these out. Sad that they are phasing out remote controls. They are so convenient for taking pictures of yourself and much better than the timers.
