for DISTANT shots (indoors, unnatural lighting)

i currently have the sony t9 for my p&s. overal im happy with it, especially the large lcd, and slim form-factor. however, the flash sucks! anything over 5 feet in non-sunlight, comes out too dark. i will be attending a wedding soon, where distant, low light shots will be the norm. can anyone suggest a camera? it doesnt necessarily have to brighten up the picture 100%, but im sure my t9 is below average when it comes to this department.

You might want to take a look at the Fuji F-20 or F-30 cameras. They have an extended flash range and the ability to use high ISO settings without showing much noise.
