I own the Nikon D50 and am now looking for a walk-around DSLR-like digicam. Features that interest me are:hot shoe, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual Zoom, Manual Focus, Wide (24-to-28mm) with some good telephoto reach (optical zoom), tiltable LCD.

What would you recommend?

The Fuji S9000 is the only camera that comes to mind that meets your check-list.

I agree, the Fuji S-9000/S-9500is probably the best choice.
