I am looking into buying a digital camera, the only thing I fear is that I will not be able to blow the images up to a decent size without losing the image quality. If I am to rival my currents 35-mm, which camera and how many MP should it have?

Thanks

A lot will depend on the lighting conditions for the photo as well as the ISO setting employed byany any film or digital camera to take the photo. However, generally speaking, a digital camera of 6mp and above will compare with your film camera and allow for enlargements up to 11 X 14 inches.
