I've had my Sony v707 since the model was introduced and I really like the camera, but... I'm getting a Kodak v550 for my wife for Christmas and, after seeing that this little camera produces pics as nice as my Sony, I'm feeling the need to upgrade.

I can't let my wife's p&s be better then MY camera!
My first "nice" camera was my Canon 7e SLR and of all the cams I've owned and used, it is still my favorite because of one feature: eye-controlled focusing. I look at my kid on the soccer field and it focuses on him, I look at...ok, you get the idea. But, as it is a film camera, the ol 7e usually just sits in the bag.
I don't have a
need to go to dSLR as I only have one nice lens for my Canon. For my needs (and ability) a prosumer will do nicely (the FZ30 looks nice).
So, this long winded post is mainly to ask: Is there a digital camera under $1000 that has eye control?
Thanks!
