I'm looking for a pocket cam under 200.00 and other that picture quality being very important I want something with a fast flash recycle time. I was leaning towards the Canon A540 or A530 but have read that the flash recycle time is slooow. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

stonehill,
The two cams you mentioned are indeed sluggish when it comes to flash recycling time (around 9 seconds). Unfortunately, pocket cam...quality pictures...fast flash recycle time and under $200 can make things a little tough. The Sony N2 flash recycle time is around 4 seconds, but it's considerably outside of your price range. The Fuji F30 times out around 4.4 seconds, and with the current $50 rebate, should just about put you into a camera at right about your budget. Take a look. Good luck with your search. the Hun |
