I'm looking for an older consumer digicam, around 3 mp that has a very fast sustained time between shots. I'd really like to be able to take 1 shot per second and sustain that till the card fills up. I'm going to build a custom trigger system to trigger the shot to be taken on a timer. Could anyone suggest a camera that would be suitable? Thanks,
David |

Very few cameras give possibility to use remote, especially from point&shoots.
Only cameras I know which have remote port are Minolta's 7-serie and newer (Konica)Minolta A-serie. (not A200) A1 has 5MP so if effect of recent firmware update is anything similar to speed increase in A2 continuous 1 fps shooting even at best JPEG setting might be well possible. (compression settings are looser compared to most cameras) |

Someone once told me all Pentax Optios are remote-compatible, but the person is not the most reliable source in the world, so I can't guarantee that this is a fact. Worth investigating, though.

I was actually planning to butcher the camera trigger button, like remove it and use trigger it with my own circuitry. So all I need is a cam that has fast time between shots sustained. Thanks,
