The A200 has two custom white balance settings. You simply have to direct the camera to a white sheet of paper to record such a custom white balance. If you then use this custom white balance, there should be no color problems. Of course, you should make some tests before.
Overall the A200 image quality should be significantly better than the Z10, which had a much smaller sensor, no image stabiliser and a lower quality lense. Also unlike the Dimage Z series Minolta really did put its heart into the Dimage A series. Unfortunately they failed but it was not the quality of their cameras.

For recompressing with XviD or DivX a tripod is extremely useful, because it vastly improves the motion compensation of these codecs. Otherwise the image stabiliser reduces jerkiness quite a bit.

I'll try to post some this weekend. We had breakfast at the Shilthorn, I chickened out on the tandem hang gliding but IF we go back I'm determined to try it.
