So is this a scam?? I called and it's brand new. How do they get a $1000 camera down to $469? Am I missing something, or should I just give them my credit card #?
Here's the website. If someone with some camera savvy and knows what questions to askwants to help check it out, I'd appreciate it. Futbolmom |

I bought mine from www.butterflyphoto.com last year. It comes with a USA Warranty and is brand new. I have had no problems with it. They seem to have the best prices online.
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Whatever site you ar looking at, just make sure it says USA Warranty (if you are in US) and brand new. |

You don't have the seller listed, but you can always check their ratings at www.resellerratings.com. Typically, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. Often these cheap prices are for the body only...you don't even get things that would normally be included, like the battery, charger, software or cables. The vendor will often ask you to call them to confirm the order, then put serious pressure on you to buy the accessories that should have came with the camera for remarkably high prices. If you refuse, they will then cancel the order saying "item no longer available" or some other lame excuse.

Post a link (you forgot it in your post).
But, as already pointed out, if a price looks too good to be true, it probably is. There are a lot of scam artists out there (most with very nice looking web sites, including impressive logos). Check them out using http://www.resellerrratings.com (and read through the reviews and look for patterns). If they are not listed, and don't have LOTS of good reviews (new vendors sometimes try to pad their own ratings), don't buy from them. With a price that low, I'd guess they're located in Brooklyn (that's where you'll find most of the scammers). |

Yeah, I don't think you want to buy from those guys:
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller9573.html Besides, it's the Original Rebel (300D), not the Rebel XT. |

hehe, a 0.16 rating. (out of 10) not so good. :-) Stick with adorama, BH photovideo and others as suggested here. |

I figured it out with the help of MT. It's not the XT. It's the original EOS Rebel 6.1 MP. New it was too good to be true! Thanks all for your help.
