well, iv had my jufi f10 for about 3-4 months now and while it takes very solid pictures, i couldnt help notice that the a510 i upgraded from took even better ones.

the sd 6xx line is 6mp camera's which are right on par with what i have now, but a little more compact and obviously made by canon

research shows i should be able to get about $250 for my f10 so the change wouldnt cost me much.

should i do it?

The Fuji F10 is a very good P&S camera, but with limited manual control. The F10 on paper should out perform the A510 easliy. Canon cameras do very well in auto mode giving excellent image processing...I suspect that minor tweaking of the F10 would improve things, but tweaking is good only if you enjoy it.
The Canon SD700IS is in my opinion is the best P&S small pocket shooter in the Canon line up. Suggest you try one and compare with the same shoots from the 510...they use the same flash card.
