I'm looking to buy a compact for my family (as well as for me to occasionally borrow for uni

). For my budget, I've narrowed it down to two cameras: the Fuji F10 and Canon SD450. If I save up a bit more, I'm tempted to look at the Canon SD550 :?
I've read that Canon has an excellent reputation for image quality and its quite small too.
The F10, from what I've read, has excellent low light capabilities (which I'll need) but I haven't heard much about its outdoor images :? - Are they good? are they comparable to the Canons? Ideally, I would love vibrant and rich colours rather than dim mild colours that our current camera is guilty of...
Also, would you say there is much between the SD450 and SD550 apart from the resolution. I love the size of the 450 and I need it for general photos really (nothing photographic atm!).
Many thanks for your help
