Hi, I'm buying my first camera and first digital one and am in love with the looks of the Fuji models which do you think would be most suited for a first time camera owner/novice who knows nothing about equipment, I checked out sample images of both in the review section and found the S5100 photos much sharper than the S5200is there a particular reason for that?

Also curious to know why its important to have Image Stabilizer? and why are these models lacking the S5000 CCD HR sensor, why did Fuji remove the High Resolution CCD? I also found the S5000 photos sharper than the S5200.

Should I go for a used S5000 instead?

I really like my Fuji S-5200 camera, especially the ability to use ISO settings up to ISO 1600. I have no qualms about sharpness at all. Take a look at the attached photo from my S-5200.
