I'm looking at a new camera to replace an older Minolta 5. I take a lot of portrait images of my family. We don't really print anything but I would like the resolution to high enough to be able to print up to 8x10's or 10x12's.
The main reason we want a new camera is that with the Minolta the autofocus is horrible, and the exposures from one image to the next can sometimes vary widely; especially if I change the zoom on the lense.
We also have a problem in that my wife is very pale with dark hair and most of our backgrounds are dark.
So the problems we have are: over or under exposed images, bad color tone especially with skin tones, a lot of out of focus images, slow focusing, and mis-matched exposures from one image to the next.
I am really liking the Fujifilm S3 Pro for various reasons (6 12meg images, wide dynamic range, and changeable lenses) but I would like to get some opinions and alternates with our concerns in mind.
Thanks, David.
