Hi, I am going to Nepal for a month and won't be able to recharge batteries easily... the digital cameras I currently own use lithium-ion style batteries, which seem to drain very very fast especially at colder temperatures. As a result I'm looking for a light weight, compact digital camera 7megapixels or greater that uses AA batteries... anyone recommend one that produces decent photos or are there attachments for other camera that let you use alternate batteries? Also seen solar panel chargers for $100, do these work??Anyone have any experience with the Sony W7?(PS posted this in battery forum but then realized i should have posted it here. Sorry abut the duplication)

I travel extensively to some pretty remote areas. I have had a lot of sucess with cameras that use just 2 AA sized batteries. My current choice is the Casion Z-120, which provids full auto and manual controls as well as 7.2mp of resolution. MT |
