Default Good camera for the outdoors (warm and cold weather)

Which waterproof/freezeproof/shockproof camera would be best?

Interested in a camera for skiing, hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking (of course the occassional every day use but I have a better camera for that purpose)

I've narrowed it down to the Nikon AW100, Pentax Optio WG-1, Panasonic Lumix TS3 and Olympus 6010/8010

Problem is there's no clear answer of which is best for what purposes, I've read a few reviews online and all are mixed- some love certain cameras, some hate...

Of course, I could be missing a camera from this lineup so I am open to suggestions....

Thanks in advance

I think you can also include the Olympus Tough TG-810 in your short list.

+1 for the Olympus. I've got one of the original models and it has served me well had no no problems with it. Got some dints in the cover but apart from that it's fine and works perfecly
