Well, once you've ponied up THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND dollars, and bought the THREE THOUSAND dollar H2 camera body it attaches too, you'll need to stock up on the budget line of H2 lenses for THREE to EIGHT THOUSAND apiece.
A few more grand and you can get a laptop with a huge hard drive and firewire port to strap to yourself and tether the camera too. After all, the 78mb files need someplace to go!
A real bargain compared to scanning slides, phew! I think I'll save a few bucks and just buy a new 5-series BMW.
Well the 8000x5000 (estimated) pixels vs. the piddly 6mp images of yester...day at 3000x2000 are still a really sad excuse for a photograph, I mean, just look at the gigapixel project. 88,000 x 44,000 should by the standard P&S pocket camera resolution by now, that darn monster is FIVE YEARS OLD!
It is the digital APO correction that draws me towards it. The large sensor is also a desired feature, measuring nearly twice the physical size of a 35mm sized sensor.
It may be rather expensive upon its launch, but the price may drop within a short time I think. I doubt I'll see it on Ebay.
