I'm looking to get a digital camera when i come to New york on Thursday. I hope it will be cheaper for me to get it over there.
Problem is there are so many to choose from! I would like a camera around 5 - 6 mega pixels. Unsure of how much zoom but the more the better? I would like it to slr like, so size isn't really a problem. I would like it also to use sd memory as its the cheapest! It doesn't have to be the newest camera around either. I would like to spend around $250 - $300 |

Not on the camera, but maybe on the store. There are a lot of discount electronics stores in Manhattan, but they will rip you off in the blink of an eye. If you are gonna be buying a camera, have some idea of the price, also, think about going to B and H. I believe its on 34th street. You can go to their website for the exact address and directions. They won't rip you off and you know the product is trustworthy.

I have heard of them so thats the store i will have a look in. I'll also avoid the so called closing down stores.
Is that the best camera for my money though? |
