ok, here it is: I have held the camera's, played with them and like three of them.....of course all take great pictures, all have pro's and con's......I have listed three scenario's of what I am thinking of.....kind of comes down to a cost factor and whether the higher priced one is really worth it? opinions?
also, can someone point me to a site that does lens reviews? I am considering the Sigma 24-135mm F/2.8-4.5 lens or the Sigma 28-200mm one...I know that they aren't perfect and I'm not expecting it (with wide-zoom optical span), but I do like the ease of these walk around type lens. ok, so on to what I have in mind: Nikon D70s (899 body) Nikon 50mm F/1.8 D (104) Sigma 28-200mm (199) or Sigma 24-135mm (359) Total: 1202 or 1362 Nikon D50 (650 body) Nikon 50mm F/1.8 D (104) Sigma 28-200mm (199) or Sigma 24-135mm (359) Total: 953 or 1113 Canon 20D (1299 body) EF 50mm f/1.8 II (80) currentlyown aTamron 28-200mm (0) total: 1379 100 rebate new total: 1279 Now why I am asking is because I got some bday money that I can add to this and take the cost down a bit more, so that the difference between the Canon 20d and the Nikon D50 (with the 28-200 lens) is 326. Between the Nikon D70s it would be 77 dollars. Which would you chose, which package? like I said, I like them all. Is it worth the money to pay a bit more for the 20D?Is the d70s kit lens worth the extra 300? Confused as always :? |
