I'm looking for a flash drive digicam that I can use on a hanlde bar mount (I have a mount already) to take video while on my motorcyle. I would also like to figure out a way to mount the same camera on the side of a helmet while my son is racing his go-kart.
I would like to get at least D1/720x480/30fps on a small light weight unit that can make use of a 4gb card (or more). I've been looking at the Jazz HDV-178 but other suggestions are welcome. I want to stay with a self contained recorder and hopefully in the $100 range.
I have one specific question about the 178, will it record with the visor in the closed postition? Does anyone know? If not, do you know of another unit that does?
