hello all.I have a fuji 7000 at the moment and am looking for a replacement. I am having trouble in deciding what to go for. I have looked at the panasonic FZ30/50 The new fuji 9600/9100 and also gone and looked at the range of dslr's mainly the nikon D50. I use the zoom on the 7000 a lot and think I will need that kind of facility on anything else I get. I take both family shots and landscapes and am now very confussed with the large choice I have .Any help would be great.thanks.

Go for D50 without a doubt advantages are instant picture taking no lag, superior quality EVEN compared to a 10 megapixel compact, interchangeable lenses. Sensor in compacts are afraction of the size in the D50 and with sensors bigger is alwaus better.
