Since my Minolta Z2 was stolen and going back to my old Coolpix 2100 has left me with that I-can't-believe-I-used-to-be-happy-with-this feeling, I want a replacement.
I'll get a Canon S3IS eventually, but it's very expensive and it'll have to wait until I manage to save up enough. For the moment I'm looking for a cheap second hand 10x-zoom digicam that will tide me over. I've seen a review of the Olympus C2100, and it seems to be just what I need. A little low on the resolution side, but a large, stabilized 10x lens, good overall quality and runs on AAs (no stupid LiIon packs you can't buy any more). Smartmedia-only support is a bit of an annoyance, but I can overcome it since smartmedia cards are available on ebay for a handful of beans (figuratively speaking). I don't know what the market value of a C2100 is, though. Assuming it's in good condition, how much can I expect to pay? Edit: noticed the mistake in the title only after posting... |
