SJ - You're right, for the most part. Some cameras are so far off that it makes color adjustment difficult. Especially the "day-glo" pictures I got from some panasonics where the iso was bumped up high and the flash was used at well. I did try different white balance settings, and non-auto mode. I have to say you made me smile by addressing "keldunwoody and opalmom"....made me picture us about to get in a big fight Hope you don't mind my humor; I think your advice throughtout the forums is great!
I take pictures of friends and family....and when I shop for a new camera and test lots of things, I feel I should stick my opinion out there whether it follows popular opinion or not. Don't shoot me, please!

Well, KW-

Like any post processing task, there is a limit to what can be done with software. Wildly bad image defects just are not truly recoverable.
