Pretty soon i am going to buy a new camera now i need something that can take pictures of people skating boarding and moving and stuff like that now i was looking at the super zoom cameras like the fujifilm s5200 is that agood choice please help me

I have the S5200. It's a good deal for a superzoom considering:
1. its relatively low price (under $250 online). 2. its short shutter lag (both pre-focused and otherwise). 3. its good low light/high ISO performance (pictures are very good at ISO 400, decent at ISO 800, and usable for small prints at ISO 1600). There are two common gripes against this camera: 1. It uses xD cards, which cost more than SD cards and CF cards. 2. It doesn't have image stabilization of the sort used by its competitors: the Panasonics, the Sonys, the Canons, even some of the new Kodak superzooms. Go to a camera shop and see how it feels in your hands. Good luck! |

I too have the S5200 and i am enjoyinit to the fullest. i am not professional by any means but i love shooting out dooors, animals, plants and people. here is a pic that i took of my wife at the park while she was running. i had it set on Long-period continuous mode and then my wife stuck them all together on the computer.
