Which camera would do a better job indoors, the Canon A610/620 or the Canon S2 IS ?

Hi, Can't speak for the A610/620. but I have the S2ISand it can take good indoor shots. This photo was taken with the S2IS under poor lighting conditions. (flourescent lights) This photowas just sharpened a tadno otherenhancements at all, just resized for posting here.

Realistically, the A-610/A-620 twins and the S-2 should do just about equally well as long as you stayed within the effective flash range of each of the cameras involved.

The A620/610 and the S2IS both do well in indoor shots, though the image stablization in the S2IS might help reduce camera shake when your nottaking pictures of fastmoving objects (won't help for sports).

This place near me has the A620 for just $10 more than the A610. I guess that is a no brainer. I'll take the A620. They only have one left so instead of lose out I will get it and IF there is a big anouncement like an A700 with more zoom and ISO or an S3 IS with a bigger Sensor I can return it if the new releases will be available very soon. I like the fact the A 610/620 Sensor is bigger than the sensor in the S2 IS and the A620 has more megapixels. When I need a zoom I'll move on to an DSLR and keep the A620 too. We'll see!

I think that you will also enjoy the larger (bigger than the S-2)LCD screen on the A-620 as well.
