Looking for people with experience with the bottom rungs (less than $50) of the digital camera universe. Need a bunch of cameras for teaching purposes and could use some recommendations. They would be used by elementary age kids

http://www.wrexham-cameras.com/WHATS-NEW/BD-1.htm They say"if you just want a camera for basic home snap shots then the Z-8 will be ideal for you but it is really a camera for kids under the age of 12". I've found their judgement to be pretty good. Possibly the same manufacturer's older models might do if they're available where you are. I fear you may find it difficult to get decent results within budget. For specific projects, throwaway film cameras give very good results, but processing costs may be prohibitive, unless you can find a very cheap processor. Good luck! |

The Kodak C713 is currently on sale at Circuit City for $69. While not a great camera, it should meet your teaching needs.
