When it comes to the Kit lenses that come with the new DSLR's which one shine above the rest? Nikon, Canon, Pentax, or Olympus.

the best kit lens available is the 17-85 IS on the canon's.. this however comes at a price above the standard issue kit lens that comes with the canons.. (there are two kits the 18-55 and the 17-85 is).. but imo its worth every penny..
comparing the budget kit lenses, there is not a whole heck of a lot of difference..they are all remarkably sharp for their price and size due to their being made for the smaller sensor.. buybased on handling and feel of the camera.. whichever one feels best in your hands and in action is the best one for you.. best of luck, dustin |

The AF Zoom-Nikkor 17-55mm f2.8 G IF-ED DX is even more highly regarded than the Canon 17-85.
That seems reasonable though as it is twice the price and covers a smaller zoom range - it should be better! |
