Excellent in all aspects except mediocre battery life. Extra battery can be purchased for under $20. Great user interface, and extremely sharp pictures. Solid build quality. Movie mode is excellent - my movies in my opinion are consistently better quality than the sample on Steve's review - get a high speed SD card to take full advantage. I own one and highly recommend it.

Anyone have any replies to this, I am thinking of buying the KodakV550. I want good pictures and image stabilazation and quick picture processing. Seems the more I look and research the more confused I am. Thanks

The V550 was one of my top choices when I was looking for a compact like this. It really seems like a great little camera. It does not have IS as far as Iremember.
I guess battery life is a bit low in comparison to other camera's, but that is the only negative I ever remember reading about it!! I have yet to buy a small compact (spent money on an UZ), but the V550, SD550, and F10 would be my top choices. I don't think you'd be dissapointed with the V550. |
