Does anyone know what make of lcd's Kodak use in their cameras...I've broken the lcd in my brand new V610 and Kodak UK want £90 to replace it, which seems excessive as it can't cost them more than £5 ( or £10 at the most) and it took me all of 3 minutes to get the old one out! Unfortunately there is no indication of who the manufacturer is - so I seem to have come to a dead end...

The only place I found online charged around $135, so your price probably isn't that far off if you want someone else to repair it.
If you're thinking of replacing it yourself, your best bet is eBay. I didn't see any V610 screens, but they may show up on occasion. Or, you could look for a damaged V610 sold as-is, and scavenge the LCD from that. Good luck! Russ |
